Objective:
Create an event calendar to be displayed in the Chico community using clear visual strategies to present events, dates, categories and locations for the CSU Chico School of the Arts. 

Strategy/Solution:
The calendar was created with two communication purposes in mind. The circular design was used to present a strong, simple visual that allowed the laying out of the information using basic symbols and colors. The key below the graphic explained in detail the meanings of the symbols and colors of the chart. Once the simple meaning of the symbols and colors are understood, the reader can easily match the category, event date, and location of the event they desired. By using colors that were not loud and bright, I believe it gave the calendar a classier look and avoided color visually competing with the information.
